All users of the eGovernment Portal are enabled to pay administrative fees electronically, for all services available on the Portal. Payment by national payment card - DinaCard, MasterCard, Maestro or Visa payment cards of all the banks operating on the Serbian market, as well as electronic money, is available. Citizens can pay for the services on the eGovernment Portal via integrated electronic banking, which is the first time that this type of electronic payment is enabled on internet portals in Serbia.
The electronic payment system, ePayment, as a part of the eGovernment Portal is designed to provide the possibility of integrating the procedure of paying administrative taxes with independent applications of institutions that independently offer electronic services. This practically means that institutions have the ability to completely automate the process of submitting electronic requests, including online payments, thereby facilitating conducting business with the administration for citizens and the economy. If the institution does not intend to independently develop electronic services to be integrated with the ePayment system, an electronic service on the eGovernment Portal can be created. Electronic services created in such a manner, also use the ePayment system.
The Office for IT and eGovernment is actively working to ensure that all counters of city and municipal administrations in Serbia enable payment of administrative taxes by payment cards through POS terminals. In this way, making payments online or at POS terminals increases the efficiency in providing services to citizens, saves time that would previously be spent on waiting in lines, and eliminates the need for citizens to go to post offices or banks or take repeated trips to the state administration or local self-government counters. In other words, citizens are provided with easier and faster provision of public administration services.
