Abolishment of stamps

With entry into force of the amendment to the Law on Companies, the use of stamps for business entities has been abolished. The law repealed the provisions of as many as 10 laws and 107 by-laws that mention the stamp. No institution, bank or organization is any longer entitled to require stamps from companies or entrepreneurs.

Stamps are no longer required for receiving mail, issuing various certificates, filling out forms, submitting requests, etc. Companies and entrepreneurs established after October 1, 2018 do not have to make stamps, while existing ones can gradually phase them out.

The Office for Information Technologies and eGovernment, in cooperation with the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED), has provided a contact form where all legal entities can report institutions requesting their stamp.
